7th Grader Anneke Lewis plays French Horn in State Band Competition

Congratulations to Anneke Lewis (7th grade), who performed her French Horn this weekend at the NC  Bandmasters Association-South Central District Clinic.  This clinic is made of the top middle and high school band students in the south central region.
 
On Jan. 12, Anneke auditioned for the opportunity to perform at the Clinic against 47 other Middle School french horn players.  She not only made the band but earned 4th chair.
 
On Jan. 24-25, Anneke and her Honor Band colleagues rehearsed their music for no less than 15 hours and then performed an amazing concert.
 
In addition to being a leader in Davidson Day band, Anneke also performs with Youth Orchestras of Charlotte.
 
Way to go, Anneke! We are so proud and are honored to have you represent Davidson Day at this prestigious event
