Our Campus

Founded in 1999 just down the street from Davidson College, our school opened on this beautiful 15-acre campus in the fall of 2007.

Our facility serves as a hub for academic inquiry, student life, and group assembly. Off a double-height Commons area, each wing houses airy, sunny classrooms, and labs for each division. Yates Gym is a full-size, varsity-regulation gymnasium with adjustable spectator seating. Gordon Theater is renovated with sound, lights, and plush, permanent seating.  Eight of our 15 acres are dedicated as playgrounds, athletic fields, and a wooded park with waterfront access to the Lake Davidson Nature Preserve.

With our unique lakeside location and proximity to the Davidson Commons retail establishments at exit 30, our school offers a great learning environment for our students and affords opportunities to take breaks from the classroom, get outside, or mingle in a nearby restaurant.

Our Town

Davidson is a charming, small town centered around a small, liberal arts college, with a vibrant, historic downtown, parks and greenways, restaurants and businesses, and many town-sponsored events throughout the year. Surrounding towns include Cornelius, Mooresville, and Huntersville, and nearby is the largest man-made lake in North Carolina, Lake Norman. Davidson was named the 2025 Best Place to Raise a Family and Best Place to Live in Mecklenburg County by Niche.
