At Davidson Day School, we believe the best education helps students grow with both confidence and character. From Early Childhood through Upper School, our students are encouraged to face challenges with integrity, take responsibility for their learning and impact, persevere through adversity, and treat others with compassion and kindness.
Rooted in History
On August 16, 1999, 54 students and ten teachers walked through the doors of the newly established Acclaim Academy of Davidson for their first day of school. Founded by Lake Norman families and located in the repurposed Liburdi Dimetrics Factory, this new independent school offered an experience-rich education designed to challenge and excite its students. The legacy of Davidson Day School had begun.
