Tennis wins 8-1 against Gaston Day

Davidson Day's girls tennis team defeated Gaston Day 8-1 on a scorching hot Tuesday afternoon. The girls looked strong all the way until the end, even though they were playing in intense heat. 

The extra doubles work in practice is starting to pay off with lots more movement at the net and improved angles on volleys. Vivian White, Ellie Kollme, Lauren Meister, Stephanie Nichols, Ashlynne Horstmann, Emma Lindquist, and Tara Nikrooz had singles wins for the Patriots, and the teams of Allison Lehman/Kollme, White/Delaney Brown, and Horstmann/Nichols recorded doubles victories for Davidson Day. The tennis team is now 3-1 this season!!
