The final results for the 2017 yearbook contests just came in, and the Davidson Day yearbook staff won multiple awards, one for the yearbook program itself, two for the overall quality of the book, and two celebrating the excellence of individual work!
Jostens National Yearbook Program of Excellence - Outstanding Staff Performance for "And So It Begins..."
NCSMA Scholastic Journalism Contest - Honor Award for "And So It Begins..."
American Scholastic Press Association Yearbook Contest - 2nd Place for "And So It Begins..."
Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence Contest - Ivy Graves '17 - National Winner - "The Start of a New Journey"
Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence Contest - Carly Kline '18 - National Winner - "What's Trending"
The two Quill and Scroll National wins are really special, because they offer scholarship opportunities for the winners. Ivy Graves '17 is already in college, but current senior Carly Kline is eligible. She’s planning to study film making at NYU. This is Carly’s second Quill and Scroll award; in 2015, she was a Sweepstakes Winner (an even higher honor than the National Winner) for a photo she featured on her Recess spread.
