DDS defeats defending 1A state champ Northwood Temple Academy

Sophomore guard Kate Roberts made a clutch baseline jump shot and drilled two free throws with 6.7 seconds left to seal the 62-59 victory over defending 1A state champion Northwood Temple Academy. The game was part of the MLK day tournament at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point. Maya Caldwell led all scorers with 26 pts.  The team over came hot 3 pt. shooting from NTA to notch their 14th win of the year. Parker Tompkins and Ryann Sinclair added 10 pts. each.
