Last Friday, the DDS baseball team played local rival Statesville Christian. The game was well played by both teams but DDS enjoyed a solid win, 11-6. Alex Ansted started for the Patriots on the mound and pitched five great innings. Ryan Restino relieved Ansted to finish out the remaining two innings and seal the victory for the PATS! Big hitters for the Patriots included Joel Serepca who hit a home run and had 2 RBI’s, Jake Dyer hit a grand slam bomb and collected another hit while finishing with 4 RBI’s, Seth McAulay hit two Home Runs and had 3 RBI’s, while Ansted, Saine, Bright, Smith, and Kelley each collected a hit as well.
