Cannon School

The Patriots traveled to Cannon School Tuesday evening. The game was well played through three innings (0-0) and pitching was strong for both teams. Defensive miscues in the last four innings hurt the Patriots and created separation on the score board. Ryan Restino and Joel Serepca pitched well for DDS. Spencer Bright played well at catcher. Spencer had the defensive highlight for the Patriots as well, blocking the plate for a relay put out from right field. Spencer not only blocked the plate but picked the ball on a jam hop and applied a sweeping tag during a collision at the plate. This great play ended the sixth inning and a bases loaded opportunity for the Cougars. Davidson Day is back in action today vs. NCISAA-2A opponent The O’Neal School.
