Davidson Day Hiring Announcement

Davidson Day School is thrilled to share two exciting additions to the Davidson Day academic and administrative teams. Please join us in welcoming these two outstanding educators to our school community beginning July 1, 2023.
Mr. Andrew Griffith, Head of Middle School

Mr. Griffith has had a long and successful career as an independent school educator, administrator, and coach. He joins the Davidson Day Community after more than 13 years of service at Pope John Paul II Preparatory School in Hendersonville, TN, serving most recently as the Associate Head of School for Academics and Student Programming. Mr. Griffith designed the vision and curricular structure of their newly formed middle school in the spring of 2021, as well as the admissions strategy and hiring of teachers. Mr. Griffith also led a team of administrators, headed the disciplinary committee, and coached basketball, lacrosse, and soccer.

Mr. Griffith is also a product of independent school education, graduating from the renowned Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Duke University and a Master of Arts in History from John Hopkins University.

"I have experience and gifts to add to this amazing community, but more than what I have to give, I have so much to learn from a faculty and community where students know they are loved and celebrated for their unique talents," Mr. Griffith shared. "I feel like I have arrived home, and my wife and I are grateful to be part of the Davidson Day family."
