The Arts: Creativity matters. We provide ample opportunities to integrate the visual and performing arts into our lower, middle, and upper school curriculum.  We maintain three art studios, two music studios, and a renovated theater where our students regularly perform.

Athletics: We offer a comprehensive athletic program.  In the Lower School (PreK–4th Grade), our students enjoy daily physical education classes and clinics offered by our varsity coaches and players.  Organized team sports begin in the 5th Grade, and student-athletes participate and compete at the middle school, junior varsity, and varsity levels.  Coaches focus on skill development and sportsmanship, fostering a team-first environment.

College Counseling: Our two college counselors guide students and their families through the college admission process, identifying best-fit schools for our graduates.  Davidson Day seniors have earned acceptances to Air Force Academy, Bowdoin, Brown, Cornell, Davidson, Duke, Emory, Furman, Harvard, MIT, Tulane, Tufts, UNC-Chapel Hill, UVA, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and West Point, among many others.

Global Experience: Each summer, dozens of students participate in full-scale archaeological research projects in Belize, Greece, Portugal, and Spain through our international field study program, AFAR.  Our students are regularly invited to present their research and findings at international conferences.
