Community Engagement Summit | 2024

Nonprofit Fair | Thursday, February 8
Davidson Day is hosting its first-ever Nonprofit Fair. As a follow-up from the February 7 Community Engagement Summit, students will meet representatives of local nonprofit organizations serving various communities in poverty alleviation, housing, providing access to food, educational support, health, arts & culture, environment, and more. This event provides an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to share their mission and volunteer needs with our middle school and upper school students connecting them with areas of interest and passion beyond our four walls. It will also offer a peek at potential volunteer opportunities to participate in during "PATRIOT Week", scheduled in April, which is our 7+ days of service designed to engage all Davidson Day families with the community.

2024 Community Engagement Summit
Davidson Day School Summit: The Impact of Community Engagement spotlights non-profit and industry leaders locally and beyond who are making a difference in their communities. Led by Davidson Day Upper School's Patriot Community Engagement Council, the high school’s service group designed to deepen students’ connections in their communities through leadership and service, student-leaders will serve as ambassadors and moderate the panel of experts. Together, alongside experienced community activists and officers, we will seek to define community engagement, showcase the high impact of community-based learning, and connect through audience Q&A.
