Somebody had to go home with a Lose

Chris Graham
Last night featured two JV unbeaten teams squaring off. The Patriots hosted Carmel Christian on senior night. We knew going in that this was going to be our biggest challenge of the year. Patriots started out strong taking an early 7-1 lead. But that would quicly disappear, as Carmel Christian began to apply pressure 84 feet. The Patriots keep battling, keeping the score close after the first qtr. 9-11 Carmel Christian.

The second qtr. was more of the same, as teams would make a little run, then the other team would respnd. The score after two periods, 21-25 Carmel Christian. Foul trouble became an issue in the 3rd, which in term affected our depth and rotation. Carmel began to put a little distance between us and them. The Score after 3 periods, 33-41 Carmel Christian.

Our guys continued to stood their ground, scoring 22 pts in the fourth qtr. But in the end, when we really to get the neccsary stops, we didnt have enuogh left in the tank to pull out the victory. Carmel goes on to win 64-55.

Patriots had four players in double figures.Calloway led with 17, Howard scored 15,and we two other players chime in with 10 a piece, Clancy & Dicks.

Junior Varisty will wrap up their season wtih one more road game this Friday as we travel to Calvary Day School, as they host us for their senior night. Its been a very solid season of growth and development. Its our hopes to end the season on a strong note as we lace them up for one more road game.
