JV boys team was in for battle tonight as they faced off against GCAA. For the first time this year, our young Patriots were down after the first half, 26 -21. The team stepped up in the 3rd period to take a small lead, 39-36. But GCAA would not go away, as they kept fighting to tie the game at the end of reguraltion to force over time.
Patriots were able to get a little breathing room and close out the Stallions from the free throw line. Patriots win 62-59. Cole Calloway led all scorers with 25 points. Howard had 12, Dicks scored 10 and Clancy chipped in 9. This was not a great night in terms of execution both offensively and defensively, but we found a way to grind out the vicory. This was a pretty gutsy effort from the team as several players are battling injuries and the like.
Next up is this Friday at Concord First Assembly at 5:00 pm.
