DDS impressive defensively in win over 2A rival Gaston Day

The DDS girls basketball team improved to 7-1 with a defensively dominant win over 2A contender Gaston Day School by the score of 51-27.  Multiple girls filled the score book Lead by Sophomore Mallorie Haines with 14 pts.  Senior Center Josie Wiles added 12 pts. and 12 rebounds while Junior Nevaeh Brown scored 11 pts.  Nevaeh also shut down the leading scorer for GDS holidng her to 8 pts. 13 under her average.  The girls shared the ball on offense and played great team defense to frustrate their opponent.
