Lower School Students Honored in Character Education Ceremony

Davidson Day lower school students participate in a character education program every day during morning meeting. In an effort to enhance the character development component of our mission statement, each month our lower school teachers focus on a different character trait from our Patriot Pledge which reads: "As a Patriot, I am dedicated to living honorably. I pledge to be honest, courageous, respectful, compassionate, and safe."

The focus for the month of September was honesty.

At the end of the month, lower school teachers host a special presentation dedicated to one student from each grade who best exemplifies that month's character trait. The objective is to get students to lead by example and strive to be the best version of themselves.

Congratulations to our September honorees who exemplify the character trait, honesty.

From L to R: Kindergartener Maija Kamp, 1st grader Jackson Neville, 2nd grader Matthew Francis, 3rd grader Sophia McMahon and 4th grader Olivia Yates.
