Davidson Day is a group of families partnering with teachers and administrators to provide the best education for our children. Our support makes the difference in helping the school fulfill its mission.
Gifts can be made by cash, check, credit card, or stock transfer. They can be mailed to the Office of Philanthropy at the school, telephoned in, or completed online via the school’s web site. Questions or requests for instructions regarding stock transfers should be directed to Charmaine Comerford, Assistant Director of Philanthropy.
Davidson Day Fund monies go directly to support enriching experiences for our students. These include professional development for faculty and staff, additional academic resources, technology upgrades and improvements, and extra support for specials like music, arts, foreign language, athletics and more.
Principally, your children receive a superior education at one of the finest schools in the nation. Also, Davidson Day’s nonprofit status allows you to receive a tax deduction for your contribution. It is a true win-win situation – you’re able to help all the students at Davidson Day while simultaneously receiving a tax benefit!
Each family’s circumstances are different and their appropriate level of giving is dependent upon their financial situation. We ask that you participate at the highest amount or level you feel is feasible. If you are able, please consider a gift at one of the Leadership Levels (starting at $2,500 and going to $15,000+). Most importantly, we ask you to participate. Every gift matters, regardless of amount, and every gift makes a difference.
The Davidson Day Fund provides a way for parents and others to give unrestricted dollars to enhance the school’s budget and support the students and teachers in a tax-deductible way.
Gifts for the current school year are accepted from July 1 to June 30. Ideally, donors make their gift or pledge during the Davidson Day Fund Campaign - this year from Oct. 16 - Nov. 17. All pledges are due by June 30.
Parents are the largest group contributing to the Davidson Day Fund – it’s our school and this is how we show our support for our children and for each other. Additionally, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, corporations, foundations, and friends of Davidson Day are asked to give.
Davidson Day is our school. We want the best education possible for our children. That means we all have to work together to provide the resources they need to succeed. 100% parent participation shows that, as a group, we believe in the mission of the school and are committed to its excellence.
