More Than Just A Walk

On Saturday, May 30th, at 5 p.m., join us at the track at Woodlawn School for the Relay for Life event. The evening will begin with a Survivor's Lap; those who are cancer survivors or are currently battling cancer are invited to kick off the event with a lap around the track, an emotional representation of the fight and a celebration of survivors.

During the event, one person from each team should be walking around the track at all times. Teams are invited to bring chairs, towels, coolers with water, soda, and snacks, and lots of energy to cheer on their teammates and other participants. There will be games and competitions on the field throughout the event for attendees of all ages.

At the conclusion of the event, we will take time to remember those who have lost the battle to cancer and will reflect on the journey of those who have survived. We will light pre-made luminaria bags dedicated in honor of or in memory of loved ones.
