Special Events and Programs

Davidson Day School believes that a strong family community helps our students feel safe and supported. With that in mind, we offer several activities for families and friends throughout the school year. These events are designed to be fun and engaging opportunities for families to spend time together.

Davidson Day Special Events

List of 5 items.

  • Spirit Week & Homecoming

Each fall, Davidson Day celebrates Homecoming with a series of activities that culminate with a Friday night football game and the crowning of the Homecoming court. Students enjoy themed dress down days during that week to show their school spirit.
  • Talent Show

Davdison Day students of all ages participate in our annual talent show. This popular event brings performing talent of all kinds to the Gordon Theatre stage - including a teacher act that is always a showstopper.
  • Night at the Museum

Night at the Museum is an evening that brings the lower school curriculum to life! Each classroom and grade level participates by developing a museum exhibit based on an area of study from the class. Students serve as exhibit experts, organizing games, presentations, and activities for all in the community to enjoy.
  • Grandparents' & Special Friends' Day

This event enables grandparents and special friends the opportunity to spend the morning with their Davidson Day students in Toddlers class through 4th Grade. Guests are treated to breakfast, a special class performance, and a visit to the classroom to see where their grandchildren learn each day.
  • Field Day

This year-end event engages students in a day of ourdoor play on Wolter Field that celebrates physical activity and movement. Field Day is one of Davidson Day's most popular events and is a great way to celebrate the culmination of a successful school year.
