The Application Process

With the coronavirus pandemic and Davidson Day's resulting transition to virtual teaching and learning as of March 16, 2020, our admission process has been disrupted. While a few of the steps needed revision, we are here and ready to help you explore our school.
It is our priority to give families the time, space, support, and personal connection with our admission team to make sure we’re the best fit. Therefore, we will process applications on a rolling admission basis throughout the spring and summer.

Please see below the steps involved in applying to Davidson Day.

Steps to Apply

List of 5 items.

  • 1. Inquire Now

Fill out the Online Inquiry Form. The first step in applying is to tell us more about your family.
  • 2. Submit Application

Fill out and submit the Online Application, including $100 application fee. Once you submit the Online Inquiry Form, you will receive a login to our admissions portal, along with a link to the Online Application. You do not need to enter all information and submit in one sitting; you’re welcome to fill out/save sections until you are ready to submit.
  • 3. Visit Us/Learn More, Virtually

Since our campus building is closed, we have posted virtual tours that you can view at your convenience. In addition, please reach out to Trent Brown, Director of Admission, to set up a video conference. He will include the relevant Division Head, so that you can learn about Davidson Day, our classes, student life, extracurriculars, etc. and ask any questions you have.
  • 4. Forward School Records

Our online admissions portal includes digital forms to enable families to request teacher recommendation(s) from your child's current childcare or school.
For a student applying for 1st grade or higher, you will also find a digital form to request a copy of his/her transcript to be sent to Davidson Day.
  • 5. Admission Testing

During our normal admissions process, applying students would undergo a classroom observation and/or assessment. Under the circumstances of the stay-at-home order, such on-campus observations and formal assessment are waived for more informal, virtual assessments.
