Strong preference is for all coaches to be an integral part of the school community, requiring 3 – 5 years teaching experience in a Middle or High School setting, particularly in the areas of English, Science, Math, History, or Physical Education. Ideal candidates will have: experience building programs;understanding of and experience in Independent School cultures; exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills;willingness to act as an ambassador for Davidson Day School in the Davidson and surrounding communities; understanding or experience in developing and preparing student athletes to compete in collegiate athletics; willingness to act as a mentor and educator for all members of the Davidson Day community; desire and commitment to build a competitive program that reflects and is consistent with the values of Davidson Day School. Part-time coaches may be considered if they meet/exceed all other requirements of the ideal candidate.

Teaching Positions: Web Manager: Dynamic, self-motivated individual needed with experience and skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, graphic design and site management. • Exceptional communication and organizational skills • Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team • 3-5 years experience managing content and production for high traffic websites • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Technical Writing or a related field • Passion, Integrity and Energy. New media skills a plus. Upper School English Teacher Creative, experienced teacher with the capacity to teach 9th grade level as well as AP courses. Interested in teaming with colleagues and students in other courses, looking for interdisciplinary opportunities to engage students. Committed to preparing students for SAT's and highly selective colleges while providing more enriched experiences by going above and beyond through real-world learning opportunities and connections.
